Discover John Cole’s Outfitting, Hunting & Fishing Guide Services November 21st, 2024

We are hunting the same country and using the same camps and methods as described in the Rifle Bull Elk hunting page of this site.

These hunts are by controlled hunt drawing only, with a May 15th application deadline. This hunt is normally a 100% chance of drawing for residents, and 80% for nonresidents. I will have approximately 12 tags available thru the landowner preference system for unsuccessful applicants in the drawing, or if you missed the drawing, they are available up until the week before each season opens.

Mule Deer/Cow Elk Combo – October – During our rifle deer hunts.

This hunt is an excellent choice for the meat hunter. As any experienced elk hunter knows, an antlerless elk is by far the best table fare. These hunts have a history of 95 – 100% success. We enjoy taking novice hunters on their first successful elk hunt, but we also cater to veteran hunters that are looking for a hunt that doesn’t require you to be in top physical condition to be successful.

All of these hunts are “Fully Outfitted”. You will either be staying at our Cottonwood ranch bunkhouse with all modern conveniences and semi-private rooms or our rustic log cabin base camp with sleeping cabins. In either camp you will be provided with excellent home cooked meals and a warm comfortable bed. We provide: guides; 2 on 1, all transportation after arrival, meals & lodging, care of killed game (field dressing, quartering, boning, packing, skinning, and hanging in our walk-in cooler. Not included in the hunt package is the processing of your meat and shipping it to you, but we can arrange to have it done locally for you.
